Changsha Medical University

Changsha Medical University(长沙医学院)CSMU, formerly known as South Hunan Health Vocational School, was founded in 1989. In 1999, it was upgraded to South Hunan Medical College and in March, 2005 it got upgraded to Changsha Medical University by Ministry of Education. It is recognized by WHO (World Health Organization)and FAIMER(Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research). As the country’s first private medical university, CSMU has for 20 odd years established on the notion of benevolence, and exerted all her strength for the development of advanced medical education, and the cultivation of qualified medical workers. Changsha Medical University is the first private medical university in China. In its 20 years history, it has committed to the education and cultivation of qualified medical workers for rural and remote areas adhere to its motto of “serve country, save lives” and has made its due contribution to the development of China’s medical education in universities. In its 20 years history, the lavish concern, great trust and high expectations from authorities have helped the university reap the fruits through hardship and difficulities.
