University of South China

Situated in Hengyang, a historical and cultural city in Hunan, China, the University of South China (USC) is a comprehensive public university which was merged in 2000 by the former Hengyang Medical College, founded in 1958, and Zhongnan Institute of Technology (aka Central South Institute of Technology), founded in 1959. A key institute of higher education supervised by the Government of Hunan Province and co-sponsored by quite a few state ministries and related industries, USC is authorized to confer the Bachelor, Master and Doctoral degrees with a post-doctoral scientific research station. USC also offers two special training programs of “Outstanding Engineers” and “Outstanding Doctors” financed by the Ministry of Education of the PRC.
